We leave the city of Huaraz at 9:00 am to the south visiting the town of Recuay which still retains its streets and houses in colonial style. Then we will see Ticapampa and Catac where we enjoy a coca tea at the known Zoroche. Then we take a dirt road detour to the Pachacoto ravine. We then reach a small lake called Patococha where many wild ducks migrate to. Then we will stop at the Huascaran National Park where we will register to enter. Along the snowy road we will stop to see creeks below Pastoruri. We will see the Puya Raimondi, which has the largest flowers in the world. Then we will see a small lake called Pumapashimin. After that we will see etchings in the rocks and then we will arrive to the bus station (4800m) to depart from the bus and begin our walk to the glacier. The walk will be about thirty minutes and the height of the glacier is 5000m.
